Project Overview

This mission involved capturing a comprehensive, high-fidelity digital twin of the downtown Boone district. The goal was to generate an accurate 3D spatial model and orthomosaic mapping data suitable for urban planning, real estate evaluation, and infrastructure inspection.

Data Collection & Equipment

The aerial data was captured utilizing a DJI Mavic 3 Thermal enterprise drone. To ensure maximum accuracy and overlap for the photogrammetry engine, the flight was meticulously planned to capture highly detailed nadir and oblique angles of the complex urban environment.

Processing & Deliverables

The final reconstruction utilized a dataset of 1,470 high-resolution images. Using advanced photogrammetry software set to ultra-high parameters, the visual data was aligned and processed into a dense 3D mesh.
